-I started physiotherapy again; it's like 30min away from my home and the sessions are quick. The physiotherapist is nice.
-I handed out some CVs at a sucky job fair
-I got to eat some fast-food and ice cream with my mom after our physio sessions

I always found chess to be fascinating, but I was one of those people who thought it was a sport for geniuses. I made up a story in my mind as I usually do – a beginner meets a better player and joins her chess club. Soon enough I thought, "Yeah maybe I should learn how to play chess."
I never got around to it until yesterday evening, but I played some games with my friend and my sibling; none of us knew the rules, so it was just us placing the pieces where the game allowed us to, and it often ended without anybody winning – If I were not the loser.
Bit frustrating if you asked me.
I watched a video from a French-Asian youtuber in which he introduces his viewers to chess, I hated some of the jokes in it but it was still interesting. By that point, I was thinking, okay I really should learn how to play. LOL
But I never did. I installed a chess app, tried following some lessons on the basics, and the pay wall discouraged me so I never touched it again and uninstalled it.

Fast forward to 2022, I'm trying to cope with the fact I'm going to spend Ramadan alone because I managed to miss my plane, and I finish watching Chess, Explained on Netflix. (I realized I actually started watching from season 3 so I have 2 seasons to watch. Yay me?) It's really fascinating. Explained is produced in a way that every subject it deals with is interesting.
Result: I cannot get it out of my mind. I set the resolve to join my home university's chess club next year, and my friend tells me to add him on Chess.com, which I do. I installed the app (it's a different one from the first time) and practiced some lessons. It's true that it is simpler than expected. I probably memorized some moves already, so I'm excited.
I hope I'll be able to have fun.
